Ellen Roberts Young has been a part of the writing community in Las Cruces since 2004.  She has been involved with the editing of Sin Fronteras/Writers Without Borders Journal for three years, assisting F. Richard (Dick) Thomas in editorial decisions and the paperwork of editing for the last two.

Ellen’s publications include two chapbooks, Accidents (2004) and The Map of Longing (2009) published by Finishing Line Press, and the privately published volume Ascent: Five Southwestern Women Poets, with other members of the Friday poetry group which is part of the Desert Writers.  She has also published a full length biography of her great grandfather: John Emerson Roberts: Kansas City’s “Up-to-date” Freethought Preacher.  She blogs at http://www.freethoughtandmetaphor.com.

Other leadership:  Dick Thomas will be doing production this year.  Michael Mandel continues to be the person who keeps the organization, Sin Fronteras/Writers Without Borders, in the good graces of the overseeing body, Dona Ana Arts Council.
